Living and staying at SEIN

About residential care

In some cases it may prove impossible to adequately control a person's epilepsy, so they continue to have seizures. This has a major impact on their daily life and that of the people around them. If this applies to you, or to your child or a family member, then one solution may be to stay or live with us. This may also be possible if you have an additional disability or health problem. We provide both day and night-time specialist care and offer the necessary help and support.

Forms of accommodation

Independent living: You get your own apartment at SEIN. This does not mean that you will be alone, as there is a social area and continuous supervision.

Short-term residential facility: Children and adolescents can come and stay with us every now and again.

Group accommodation: You have your own ‘bedsit’ and probably your own bathroom too. There is also a living room plus kitchen which you share with housemates. The groups are of varying sizes and there is continuous supervision.

We're with you on your journey

We will help you to get the best out of your life. You tell us what you want and we jointly consider what is possible. In this way we share your journey. You can count on us day and night. We also make sure that residents get the medical and paramedical care that they need. And you will not be living alone here, as many other people live at SEIN.

Whether you live with us yourself, or your child is staying with us, we find it important that you or your child have things the way you like them. This applies in your leisure time too. Engaging in meaningful activity is an important part of everyday life. So during the day residents go to a day activity centre, a workplace or to school.

“I like it here and I have a lot of fun with the other residents. The carers are so kind. They always help me if I find something difficult. I do sport and go swimming every week. On Wednesday after school I go horse riding. That’s what I like best of all.”
